• All entries are allotted 45 minutes to make guacamole.
  • Guacamole must be made on site at the event.
  • All entries are supplied 50 Hass avocados.
  • Avocados will be delivered to your booth in a box.
  • WCOG alerts you that due to the recent California heatwave, the quality of the avocados may vary greatly.
  • Each box of avocados will be assigned to contestants via a double-blind to insure that no favorable action is taken toward any contestant.
  • At noon, a 10 oz sample will be collected from each contestant and stored in a secure refridgerated unit to be used in the final round of judging.
  • First round of voting is people’s choice. The top 10 guacamoles as voted by the people will advance to the final judging round. Final round is judged by a panel chosen by WCOG and their decisions are final.
Guacamole is judged on 3 categories:
  1. Taste: 70% of score
  2. Texture: 20% of score
  3. Guac factor: 10% of score. The is the “wow” or “x” factor.
  • Decorations for your booth and/or costumes are encouraged and may win an auxilary prize in the awards ceremony.
  • There is no limit to guacamole ingredients. Contestants must supply all of your own ingredients. Contestants must disclose contents of guacamole, but not measurements, to WCOG prior to event. Contestants must disclose any possible exposure to food allergies, including but not limited to nuts.
All judging is final. Contestants must abide by rules set forth by The World Championship of Guacamole rules committee.

    We are the unrivalled Canadian guacamole champimoles and would like to bring the crew down to the WCOG to bring a truely International Flavour to the competition (You will notice that Flavour is spelled in the correct Queen’s English way).
